Lucrezia del Caccia (c. 1450-1509) was an Italian Renaissance painter, active in Florence during the late 15th century. She was one of the few known female artists of her time and was commissioned to create paintings in both public and private spaces.
Del Caccia trained in her father's workshop and later worked with other prominent artists, such as Sandro Botticelli and Andrea del Verrocchio. Her style was characterized by her use of vivid colors, intricate details, and a focus on religious and mythological subjects.
Some of her most notable works include painting a fresco cycle in the church of Santa Maria Novella in Florence and a series of portraits in the Villa del Trebbio for the Medici family. She also wrote poetry and created illuminations for manuscripts.
Despite her talent and success, there is little information about her personal life and her career was often overshadowed by her male contemporaries.
